Box Score 2 (Seminole, OK) - The CONQS continued their hot shooting from the field this past Thursday and Friday as they made the trip to Seminole Oklahoma to take part in the two day Seminole State Classic. They came away with two wins to improve their overall record to 3-0 ahead of the CONQ Classic this weekend.
They faced a very talented Metro Prep on Thursday night jumping out to a 21-7 lead to open the contest on hot shooting from
Quindarius Thomas and
Mason Senigaur. Metro prep proved to be a tough opponent taking the lead late before the CONQS rallied to come within two with less than 00:10 remaining in regulation. A
Miles Ray dunk would tie it at 76 with 00:05.8 left which would send the game to overtime. The CONQS fell behind in the OT session by 4 but then went on a 14-3 run lead by
Kevin McGaskey which would help the CONQS take the game in OT. Unfortunately the win was short lived on the news of Freshman sharpshooter
Kobe Newton suffering what would be a season ending wrist injury with just under 7:00 left in regulation. Thankfully Dodge City Athletic Trainer
Tyler Gallegos made the trip with them and was present to tend to Newton's injury to prevent any further damage.

On Friday the CONQS faced another tough prep school in Tyson Prep. The CONQS lead nearly all of the game except for a few minutes in the second half when Tyson Prep took a 1 point lead that was quickly erased by the depth of the CONQ bench. The CONQ big men showed up big big for the Dodge City with
Deatrick Pashell and
Myron Washington combining for 11 points, 11 rebounds and 7 blocked shots.
