Box Score 2 The Dodge City Community College volleyball team had a successful home triangular as they picked up two wins over Friends University JV and Sterling College JV on Wednesday at the Student Activity Center. In the first match of the afternoon the Conqs defeated Friends by scores of 25-18, 23-25, 25-20, and25-14. In the nightcap Dodge City was able to pick up another four set victory over Sterling by scores of 26-24, 25-16, 23-25, and 25-14.

Kate Warren led the Conq attack as she tallied 10 kills in the match against the Falcons.
Madi Spencer added nine kills of her own, then
Tori Setzkorn,
Destiny Velasquez and Gabby Valdez each registered seven kills. Defensively the Conqs put together a solid team effort as
Erin Smith had five digs, Spencer and
Brooke Dorenkamp each registered four, and
Blair Rockhold added three digs of her own. Valdez totaled 35 assists in the match.
Against Sterling the Conqs were led by Spencer and Warren who each registered 12 kills a piece in the match. Setzkorn also registered nine kills for Dodge against the Warriors. Spencer also led the way defensively as she registered six digs to go with her 12 kills on the day. Velasquez also registered five blocks for the Conqs. Valdez set the table for the Dodge City attack as she piled up 46 assists in the match.
"It was great to pick up two wins today," said head Coach
Rachel Williams. "I am proud of the girls as we are starting to see some of the things we have been teaching come to life in games."
The Conqs will return to conference play on Friday night when they host Colby Community College in the last game of the first round of conference. The game will be at 6:30pm at the Student Activity Center on the campus of Dodge City Community College.
