Dodge City Community College strives to achieve strong success in the classroom and in competition for the Conquistador athletic programs. The Conquistador volleyball team has been recognized for its success in the classroom for the 2025-26 school year, as the American Volleyball Coaches Association has awarded AVCA Team Academic honors. 
 
To earn the AVCA Team Academic award, your team's GPA must have been a 3.3 or better for the school year. The Conqs are one of 1,432 collegiate and high school teams recognized by the AVCA, and one of a record 75 Two-Year Colleges earning the honors. 
 
The Conqs volleyball team finished with a 3.74 GPA for the 2025-26 school year, with all 13 members on the team throughout the year earning a GPA of 3.1 or better, with six 4.0 GPA's. 
 
The 2026 season is set to open for the Conqs in August as they will travel to Council Bluffs, Iowa to compete at the Reiver Classic hosted by Iowa Western on August 21st-22nd. The Conqs will take the floor at home for the first time during the 2026 season on August 25th against Pratt and then will host the annual Victory Electric Classic on the weekend, playing on August 28th and 29th.
