Box Score PARSONS, Kan. - After a 2-2 weekend, the Conqs were back in action on Monday evening as they took down Labette Community College in four sets by scores of, 25-19, 23-25, 25-11 and 25-16.
Kate Warren led the Dodge City offense, collecting 15 kills, while
Raquel Valdez also collected 10 kills. Valdez also had seven block assists.
Gabby Valdez was able to contribute on the offensive end, with 24 assists and four service aces.
Alex Stecklein was a big key to the victory on the defensive end, collecting a team-high 17 digs.
"We played well tonight," head coach
Kamri Nehls said. "We obviously took set two off and our serve receive could have been better. Blocking was our strong point tonight and definitely gave us the win. Overall, it was a good win on the road."
Dodge City is now 4-2 on the year and will play again on Wednesday, Aug. 30, against Colby Community College at 6:30 p.m.
