NOTES: Conqs travel to face Seward in key KJCCC Saturday matchup

DODGE CITY, Kan. — The Dodge City men's basketball team has a chance to move up in the KJCCC standings as it takes on Seward County 8 p.m. Saturday in Liberal - a matchup of two of the top six teams in the conference.

- The Conqs moved to within 2.5 games of first in the KJCCC with an 82-81 victory on the road over Colby on Wednesday thanks to a Lorenzo Dillard bucket with 5.9 seconds left. DC3 trailed by double digits midway through the second half and was down seven with four minutes remaining before rallying for the win.
- The Conqs are close to being undefeated in conference play as DC3's four KJCCC losses have either come in overtime (twice), by two points (once) or by three points (once).
- DC3 is 8-4 away from the Dodge City Civic Center this season.

- Seward remained two games back of first place of Neosho after defeating Garden City 92-87 on Wednesday at home. Charles Beauregard (26 points) and Niem Stevenson (24 points) combined for 50 of the Saints' 92 points.
- Seward has won four of its last five games since breaking a three-game skid.
- Stevenson leads the KJCCC in scoring (24.3), is sixth in steals (35) and 12th in rebounding (6.2). The guard is shooting 53.1 percent from the field and 36 percent from 3-point range.
