"We'll take full responsibility for this," DC3 coach
Mark James said of he and his coaching staff. "We just didn't coach them hard enough in practice and didn't stress enough which one were the shooters and which ones weren't. We left shooters open. ... I just didn't do a good job of getting the team ready to play today because that is about as poor of a quarter as you'll see."
Garden City's Kavita Akula hit four of her five 3-pointers in the first half and finished with 15 points as the Broncbusters went 10-for-18 from beyond the arc. On the opposite side, DC3 went 6-for-27 (22.2 percent) from 3-point range.
Antania Newton led the Conqs with 12 points while
Talisha Presley had eight points.
Rachel Slattery finished with two points and game highs in rebounds (nine) and blocks (eight).
