DODGE CITY, Kan. — The Dodge City Community College men's and women's soccer teams open their home slate Saturday as the Conquistadors take on Hesston College at Memorial Stadium. The women play at 5 p.m. with the men following at 7 p.m.

The DC3 men enter Saturday's contest 2-0-1 following a 3-2 overtime win at Dallas Christian College on Tuesday. Isaac Palma scored the game-winner for the Conquistadors on an assist from Duran Lee (his second assist of the contest).

Pedro Ortiz leads DC3 with three goals while Palma has two on the season. Conquistador goalkeeper Sebastian Bolivar has started all three contests and is allowing 1.08 goals per game with 15 saves.

The Hesston men are 2-2 on the season after beating the Central Christian College JV 2-1 on Wednesday at home.

The DC3 women head into Saturday's home opener 1-1 – beating Dallas Christian College 3-0 on Tuesday and falling to Kansas Wesleyan University 2-1 in double overtime Aug. 26.

Cynthia Rodela leads DC3 with two goals in the young season while Kristina Trinceri has a goal and an assist. Elyssia Lucio has logged all of the minutes at goalkeeper for the Conquistadors and is allowing 0.91 goals per contest with 20 saves.

The Hesston women are 3-0 following a 3-0 win at Mountain View College in Dallas on Aug. 28.
