Box Score WICHITA, Kansas: After an 81-62 victory in the second round of the NJCAA Region VI Tournament, DC3 men's basketball (19-13) will head to the semifinals. Tip off is set for 5 p.m. tomorrow, March 6.
DC3 owned the first half 41-32 after big performances by
Raheem Watts and
EJ Eaves to name a few, with Watts knocking down 12 points after a 6-9 performance from the field and Eaves putting in four from the paint for eight points.
The winning ways continued in the second half with Dodge outscoring Cloud County 40-30 to garner the 19-point win.
DC3 commanded the hardwood with a 58.2 percentage from field goal range, finding the net on 32 of 55 attempts throughout the day. The Conqs collected four three-pointers and went 13-18 at the charity strip to gain the advantage.
The held Cloud to a low 22.2 percentage from the arc and allowed only 23 made buckets from the field.
The bench was key throughout the game, owning 33 points while giving up only six points to the CCCC bench. They also outrebounded the opposition 33-26.
Eaves led the offensive on the day with 21 points after an 8-13 performance from the floor and went a perfect 5-5 at the stripe. He also posted four boards, three assists and two steals.
Watts finished out with 17 points and led the team with eight rebounds, while adding two assists and one block.
Ameer Jackson and
Payton Pervier owned 12 and 11 points respectively. Pervier also owned five boards.
James Newton and
Brett O'Neil successful in feeding the ball to teammates. Newton finished with six assists, six points and four rebounds and O'Neil ended with five assists, six points and three boards.
George Brock also added eight points and three assists to the stat sheet to finish out the day.
DC3 will return to the Charles Koch Arena in Wichita, Kansas tomorrow, March 6 at 5 p.m. They will take on #7 seed Pratt (22-10).
