Box Score LIBERAL, Kan. -- The Dodge City Community College men's basketball team improved to 2-0 to start the season with a convincing 90-52 victory over Fort Carson at the Seward County Classic on Saturday.

The Conquistadors had four players finish in double figures with Lorenzo Dillard leading the way with 17 points to go along with six rebounds and three assists. Josh Boutte had 14 points and nine rebounds (five offensive), James Newton had 14 points and four rebounds while Jamie Rutherford had 11 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two steals.

DC3 dominated the boards, outrebounding Fort Carson 61-36 - including 16 offensive rebounds.

The Conq defense was strong as well, forcing Fort Carson into 25 turnovers while limiting them to 26.4 percent shooting (14-for-53).

DC3 will play its home opener 7 p.m. Tuesday against North Platte at the Dodge City Civic Center.
