Dodge City Community College Athletics

The Dodge City Conquistadors opened the season with a tough task at home hosting #4 Iowa Western and the Conqs offense was led by a stellar performance on the ground in the loss. The Conqs ran for 213 yards as a team with 137 yards coming from freshman, Tyler Curtis on 11 carries. Curtis tallied both Conquistador touchdowns including sprinting downfield for a 71-yard touchdown. Curtis leads the KJCCC by a sizable margin in rushing yards and yards per carry (12.5) and ranks fourth in the NJCAA in rushing yards and second in yards per carry.
