Newton averaged 18.0 points, 3.0 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game in helping the Conqs go 2-0 last week. Her top performance came in a 73-72 victory over Independence, scoring 26 points and going 6-for-10 from beyond the arc. She continues to lead the conference in 3-point percentage (50.6) and is shooting even better from beyond the arc in conference play (56.1). In conference play, Newton is leading the KJCCC in scoring at 19.7 points per game.
