Newton averaged 23.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 2.5 assists in helping the Conqs split a pair of key KJCCC road games. The sophomore from Coffeyville started the Neosho game 7-for-7 from 3-point range and finished with a game-high 26 points to go along with six rebounds, four steals and three steals. Newton increased his scoring average to 14.8 points per game, good for 17^th in the conference. He’s eighth in 3-pointers made (27) and 11^th in 3-point percentage (45.0).
