Dodge City Community College Athletics

Dodge City women’s basketball finished non-conference play with a route of Bethany JV and then opened KJCCC action last week with a road win over Cowley. Jenna Rose Mafua has stepped back into the fold for the Conquistadors this season as a sophomore and is making big contributions just like her freshman season. 
 
Mafua tallied 14 points on 6-7 shooting with a rebound, three assists, and one steal in the win over Bethany JV. She followed up that up with 18 points on 6-13 shooting including four three-pointers in the win over Cowley and added three rebounds and three assists. On the season she is averaging 10.3 points per game while shooting 47.2% from the floor and 43.2% from three-point range, adding 2.6 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.4 steals per game.
