Dodge City women’s cross country raced to a second-place finish at the Emporia State Invite last week and Yessenia Ornelas stepped up to lead the way for the Conquistadors in the race. She earned a sixth-place finish behind a time of 20:12.31 in the 5K race, which was her best performance as a Conquistador setting a personal record.
