Off to the best start to a season since 2021, the Dodge City volleyball team sits at 7-1 and jumps into the NJCAA Division I national rankings, checking in at #19. 

The Conquistadors are ranked for the first time since the preseason poll ahead of the 2025 season and ranked in a regular-season poll for the first time since 2004. In 2004, the Conqs were ranked as high as #2 at the NJCAA DII level and finished the season as the NJCAA DII National Runner-up. 

The Conqs opened the 2026 season competing at the Reiver Classic in Council Bluffs, Iowa, going 3-1 in competition with wins over Western Nebraska, Eastern Wyoming, and Central Wyoming. Their lone loss came in four sets to #15 Indian Hills. Last week, the Conqs were at home for the first time this season and opened Jayhawk Conference play with a three-set sweep of Pratt, then capped the week with a 3-0 showing at the Victory Electric Classic, beating Eastern Wyoming, Iowa Western, and Trinidad State. 

Another big week looms ahead for the Conqs, starting with a KJCCC clash at home against Butler before heading to Florida to compete at the Magic City Invitational in Miami. In Florida, the Conqs will face off against three nationally ranked Top 10 teams, including the host Miami Dade, which is the #1 team in NJCAA DI. Conqs will also take on #2 Daytona State and #6 Florida Southwestern, and face off against Eastern Florida State.
