The spring golf season continued for Dodge City men's golf on Sunday and Monday in Newton, Kansas, as they competed in the KJCCC Championship.
The Conquistadors posted a three-round team score of 909 (+45) to finish in third place overall. The Conqs continually improved throughout the tournament as a team, posting a 306 in the first round, then 302 in the second round, and their best round as a team in the third, with a score of 301.
Three Conqs, with their individual performances at the KJCCC Championship, earned KJCCC All-Conference honors.
Lucas Kuiper continued his strong spring for the Conqs as he recorded the top finish for the Conqs with a score of 222 (+6) to tie for sixth place and earn second-team All-KJCCC honors. He posted rounds of 76, 73, and 73.
Drew Heinz was just behind his teammate in eighth place with a score of 223 (+7), earning him second-team All-KJCCC honors. Heinz's best round was a two-under-par 70 in the third round, while shooting 76 and 77 in the first and second rounds.
Aidan Robinson picked up honorable mention All-KJCCC honors after finishing tied for 11th with a 228 (+12) score. He posted rounds of 78, 74, and 76.
Blake Strong finished in 18th place for the Conqs, shooting a 233 (+17) after carding rounds of 82, 74, and 77. Panyapat Khatiyoo tied for 20th place behind a score of 236 (+20), recording rounds of 76, 78, and 82.
Jacob Egan posted a score of 246 (+30) to tie for 30th place, shooting rounds of 83, 78, and 85.
Prakrit Jumpla capped the Conq performances, posting a score of 247 (+31) to place 33rd, shooting rounds of 84, 87, and 84.
Conqs continue spring competition on April 20th-21st, competing at Colbert Hills Golf Course in Manhattan, Kansas, at the NJCAA Region 6 Championship.
