For the second time this season, a Dodge City football player has earned KJCCC Player of the Week honors after a strong performance. 

The Conquistadors earned their first win of the season, beating Highland 35-6, and had contributions from all around. 

On offense, the Conqs totaled 427 total yards with 383 yards through the aerial attack, marking the most passing yards in a game for the Conqs since October 2nd, 2021. Edwin Merriweather III was strong for the Conqs, going 11-15 with 229 yards and two touchdowns, earning him KJCCC Offensive Player of the Week honors. 

The Conqs look to build on their first win of the season when they travel to Fort Dodge, Iowa, to take on #10 Iowa Central on Saturday, October 4th, with a noon kickoff.
