The spring season is underway for Dodge City women's golf and the Conquistadors have put together some strong performances two tournaments into the spring.
The strong performances have then ranked #9 in the latest NJCAA Division I Clippd rankings. The Conqs opened the spring hosting the Conquistador Classic and finished third overall and top KJCCC team performance on their home course. Conqs also competed at an NCAA DII event hosted by the University of Central Missouri and finished second in a field full of NCAA DII schools, finishing only behind #19 NCAA DII UCM.
Individually the Conqs lone sophomore ranks the highest in the Clippd NJCAA DI individual rankings as
Gaemphuang Ketrahong is ranked 16th out of 171 golfers.
Three more Conq golfers are ranked in the Top 80 as
Heewon Pak comes in at 56th,
Sofia Axelsson at 61st, and
Tilly Jones at 76th.
Danica Amerin and
Dorthea Evebo are both ranked 105th and 138th, respectively for the Conqs.
Ellen Wilson is not ranked having not met the minimum of six rounds played to be considered for the rankings as she's only played the three rounds the Conqs have competed in this spring after she transferred to Dodge City at semester.
Up next the Conqs will compete at the KJCCC Match II in Salina, Kansas at the Salina Municipal Golf Course on March 27th-28th.
