Dodge City men's golf had the opportunity to compete against NCAA Division I competition as they were invited to the Kansas State Wildcat Invite in Manhattan playing at Colbert Hills golf course.
The Conquistadors would show they can compete against high-level competition as they finished tied for 10th as a team out of the 15-team field which was all NCAA DI teams outside of the Conqs. The Conqs would be as high as third as a team at one point in the tournament and finish with a +36 score of 900 over 54-holes and were only nine strokes back of sixth place.
The field of golfers featured 81 athletes and
Supakit Seelanagae for the Conqs would finish just outside the Top 10 as he tied for 11th place with an even score of 216, carding rounds of 71, 74, and 71.
Also, in action for the Conqs were
Cole Streck and
Thanaphon Suwannapratheep would each finish +13 with scores of 229 to tie for 50th place.
Arthit Kruaprayong finished tied for 55th behind a 54-hole score of 230 finishing +14.
Brent Reintjes finished out the Conqs performances at the Wildcat Invite as she finished tied for 72nd behind a +22 score of 238.
Conqs are back in action next week competing on September 19th-20th at the Farmers Insurance Sam Proal Invitational in Pueblo, Colorado as CSU-Pueblo will host at Walking Stick golf course.
