For the second time this fall season the Dodge City men's golf competed at a tournament full of NCAA Division I programs and would hold their own against the topflight competition.
The Conquistadors competed against 12 NCAA DI schools and also fellow KJCCC team Hutchinson at the Big-O Classic in Elkhorn, Nebraska hosted by the University of Nebraska-Omaha. The Conqs would finish tied for 10
th as a team finishing +28 as a team with a score of 892 over 54-holes. The Conoqs best round came in the first round on Monday with a 292 and then carded rounds of 295 and 305 to finish the tournament.
Leading the way for the Conqs was the play of
Supakit Seelanagae who in a field of 93 golfers finished tied for 13
thposting a score of 218 to be +2 for the tournament.
Both
Thanaphon Suwannapratheep and
Brent Reintjes finished +9 for the tournament with a three-round score of 225 to tie for 45
th place.
Austin Goodrum would post a 54-hole score of 227 to go +11 in the tournament and finish tied for 55
th, while
Arthit Kruaprayong finished tied for 68
th with a +15 231 score. Also, in action for the Conqs was
Luka Stanisavljevic who finished tied for 76
th behind a +17 score of 233.
The Conqs will wrap up the fall season with a dual against Garden City on Thursday, October 13
th at Southwind Country Club in Garden City.
