Box Score (Dodge City, Kansas) – The Dodge City Community College Women's Basketball team lost it's second in a row, falling to Seward County Community College 68-55.
The first quarter started well for the Conq Women as they got out to an 11-5 lead in the first 3:28 of the contest. Immediately after a 3 point basket at that point, they would go on a scoring drought. The Conquistadors would not score again until the 3:25 mark of the first quarter, 3:07 of no points, meanwhile the Saints were able to cut the deficit to 2 by outscoring DC3 4-0 during that stretch. Seward County would follow that up by going on a 9-2 run prior to fouling
Allie Baker on a 3 point attempt at the end of the quarter. She would make 2 of 3 free throws to tie the game at 18-18 going into the 2nd quarter.
Alec Fitts would get the scoring started in the 2nd by making 2 free throws to give the lead back to the Conqs 20-18. Seward County would then go on a mini 5-0 run to give them their largest lead to that point of 3. At 4:54 with the Saints leading 28-27 neither would score for over 2 minutes until a layup for the Conqs got the lead back at 29-28. The remainder of the half had both teams answering each other. Going into halftime Seward County had 33-31 advantage.

Early on in the second half, Seward County would go on a 6-0 run to take a 39-35 lead. Dodge City would answer and make it a two-point only to see the Saints go on another run. Seward County would score 7 unanswered before Coach Loll would call a timeout to regroup. The run going into the timeout was 13-2 in favor of the Saints. This really allowed them to take control of the game by opening up an 11 point lead at 46-37. The time out did not help for Dodge City as Seward County would score 6 unanswered immediately out of the timeout. This gave them a 15 point lead and the run overall was 19-2 over a 6 minute period. The rest of the 3rd was a little more even as Dodge City would go into the fourth down 58-42.
At the 7:11 mark with DC3 down 61-45 there would be another offensive stall, as neither team would score until the Saints made a bucket with 5:33 on the clock. The Conqs wouldn't make another field goal until there was just 2:58 remaining in the game. They went 4:13 without making a shot from the field.
