Box Score CONCORDIA, Kan. - Despite out-rebounding the T-Birds by 11, the Conquistadors fell to Cloud County in the first round of the Region VI Playoffs by a score of 64-49.

Alec Fitts led the way for Dodge City, scoring 11 points and grabbing 10 rebounds for her first double-double of the season. Allie Baker also scored in double figures with a team-high 13 points.

Baker opened up the scoring for Dodge City with a three-pointer, giving the Conqs a 3-2 lead, but the Conqs went scoreless for the next six minutes as the T-Birds grabbed a 7-3 lead. The Conqs were then able to get a layup, but then went cold again, as Cloud extended their lead to 14-5 by the end of the first quarter.

It then took three minutes into the second quarter for the Conqs to score, with Baker ending the drought with another three to cut the lead to 18-8. By the end of the first half, the T-Birds had extended their lead to 18, taking a 34-16 lead into the locker room.

The third quarter is where the Conquistadors made a run and were able to cut the lead to seven, outscoring the T-Birds 21-10. The Conqs opened the quarter on an 11-3 run to cut the lead to 13 with 4:52 to play in the quarter. Dodge City then finished the quarter on an 8-2 run to cut the lead to seven heading into the final quarter.

The Conquistadors seemed to be gassed in the fourth quarter as they battled, but the T-Birds were able to add to their lead and eventually push their lead to 17 before the Conqs cut it to 15 before the end of the game, 64-49.

Dodge City ends their season with an overall record of 11-19 and a record of 8-18 in KJCCC play.
