Box Score LIBERAL, Kan. – The Conquistadors had trouble getting things going from the opening tip as they fell to Seward County on Saturday night, 98-39.
 
The Saints were able to jump out to an early lead, outscoring the Conqs 17-6 in the first six minutes of the game. For the rest of the quarter, the Conqs went scoreless and Seward was able to extend their lead to 26-6.
 
The Conqs scored seven points in the second quarter, as the Saints extended their lead to 52-13 at halftime.
 
The Conquistadors battled in the second half to try and make a comeback, but the Saints continued to extend their lead throughout the third quarter and fourth quarter.
 
By the end of the game, the Saints had pushed their lead to 94-33 with three minutes left in the game. Both teams traded baskets for the next three minutes as the Saints won, 98-39.
 
Dodge City is now 11-17 overall on the year and 8-17 in KJCCC play. The Conqs will finish up the regular season on Monday as they host Hutchinson at 5:30 p.m. The Blue Dragons won the first matchup, 74-47.
