Late in the second quarter, the Tigers were able to tie the game at 19, but Rowley then drilled a big three to push the lead back to 22-19 with just under two minutes to play in the half. The Conqs were able to finish the first half strong, taking a 26-21 lead into the locker room.

Dodge City went on a run to start the third quarter, grabbing a 37-25 lead. Cowley then turned up the defensive pressure and quickly cut the lead back to two with just over one minute left in the quarter. A jumper by Ewing late in the third, sent the Conqs to the fourth quarter leading 42-38.
