The Dodge City Women's Soccer team knew they faced an uphill battle when they took on league leading Cloud County on Wednesday and the result did not turn out well for the Conqs. Cloud scored early and often on their way to a 7-0 win.
 

The scoring got started in just the eighth minute of the game when Cloud got on the board.  The Conqs rebounded somewhat from giving up the early goal and held strong defensively for the next 16 minutes of the game. However the T-Birds managed to score three goals between the 24th minute and the 39th minute of the game to take a 4-0 lead into the half.
 

The Conqs gave up another goal just three minutes into the second half and trailed 5-0 at that point. Finally Cloud got two more goals in the final 13 minutes of play to get to the final margin.
 

Dodge City returns to action on Saturday when they travel to Goodland, KS to take on Northwest Kansas Technical College. Their game will be at 1:00pm Mountain Time. They are now 6-6-1 overall and 5-4 in conference play
