Box Score DODGE CITY, Kan. - Behind a 21 point performance from
Addison Rowley, the Conquistadors were able to extend their winning streak to four games as they defeated Colby Community College, 83-53 on Wednesday night.
Rowley played just 16 minutes in the game and was able to collect a career-high 21 points. With 17 in the first half, Rowley played just five minutes in the second half as the Conquistadors went on to win.
Amour'ee Morrison and
Makaela Ewing were the only other Conquistadors in double figures with 13 and 10 respectively. Sophomore
Denis Ortiz also added eight points for a new career-high.
Early in the first quarter, the Conqs jumped out to a 10-2 lead, but the lead was quickly erased as the Trojans were able to cut the lead to cut the lead to one before the end of the quarter, 21-20.
The second quarter is where the Conquistadors took control of the game as the Conqs were able to outscore the Trojans, 26-3. After pushing the lead to seven, Rowley knocked down three straight three pointers to quickly push the Conquistador lead to 16, 36-20.
With 28 seconds to play in the first half, Ewing sank two free throws to give the Conqs a 25-point lead before a free throw from Colby cut the lead to 24 heading into the locker room.
The third quarter was more of the same as the Conqs continued to add to their lead, eventually grabbing a 36 points lead with five seconds left in the quarter.

Kaylyn Maple for a layup to give the Conquistadors their largest lead of the game at 38, 74-36.
The closest the Trojans were able to get for the remainder of the game was 30 with 2:26 to play. Neither team scored for the rest of the game as the Conquistadors won 83-53.
Dodge City moves to 9-12 on the year and 6-12 in KJCCC play. They look to extend their winning streak on Saturday as they travel to Garden City Community College at 2 p.m. The Broncbusters won the first matchup, 66-57.
