Box Score DODGE CITY, Kan. - In a game with a combined 50 fouls, the Dodge City Community College women's basketball team fell to Cloud County Community College by a score of 75-55 on Wednesday night.

The Conquistadors were able to lead for 13:57 of the game, but the third quarter was the story once again for the Conquistadors as the T-Birds outscored them 29-12. 

Addison Rowley was the Conqs leading scorer in the game with 11 points, while Makaela Ewing was the only other Conquistador in double-figures with 10. Ewing was just one rebound short of a double-double with nine while Ashley Nelson was the next closest with six rebounds.

Things started off strong for Dodge City after the T-Birds grabbed a 2-0 lead, the Conqs then went on a 10-2 run to grab a 10-4 lead. The T-Birds were able to grab the lead once more with 2:39 to play in the first quarter, but Dodge City quickly regained the lead and took a 16-14 lead into the second quarter. 

Early in the second quarter, the Conquistadors were able to push their lead back to six, but the T-Birds hung around and made a comeback. There were five lead changes for the remainder of the second quarter, and the T-Birds were able to find a way to take a three point lead into the locker room, 32-29.

With a jumper from Ewing to start the third quarter, Dodge City cut the lead to one, but the T-Birds then took over and dominated the third quarter, eventually extending their lead to 20 points with 42 seconds to play in the quarter. 

The fourth quarter was much of the same as the Conqs fought to keep the lead where it was. The Conquistadors were able to get the lead to 15, but Cloud then fired back and won the game, 75-55.

The Conquistadors are now 5-12 overall on the year and move to 2-12 in KJCCC play. They will be in action again at 2 p.m., on Saturday as they travel to Pratt. The Conquistadors defeated Pratt the last time out, 44-34.
