"They are good on defense," head coach
Gary Thomas said. "They have been good on defense for a long time. When you play in this place and get used to accustomed to playing in these elements, you get the feel for how the game will play out. I had a feeling it was going to be a one possession game. That last score is a throw away touchdown, but I felt that the game was going to come down to six possessions, and whoever managed those six possessions the best would win, and they did."
The Conqs are now 3-2 on the year and 0-2 in KJCCC play. Dodge City will be in action again next weekend as they host Independence Community College at 6 p.m.
