DODGE CITY, Kan. - With the first week of the season in the books, the No. 15 Conquistador football team looks to bounce back from a 26-21 loss to Highland, as they travel to Iowa Central to take on the Tritons at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday.

After week one, sophomore Caden Walters is tied with Cam Jones of Hutchinson Community College for most passing touchdowns in the KJCCC with three.

In 2016, Dodge City began the year with a loss to Highland then rattled off five straight wins, beginning with a 45-21 lead over Iowa Central. The Conqs have played just three games all-time against the Tritons, winning two of the three.

The Conquistador offense is led by quarterback Caden Walters who completed 18-of-35 passes in week one for a total of 143 yards and three touchdowns. The Conqs also had three running backs get double-digit carries with Aaron Walker collecting 13 carries for 50 yards, Tyler Minor getting 11 carries for 42 yards and Walters also running 12 times for 27 yards.

Sophomore Braxton Haley had a team-high five catches in week one for 41 yards while teammate Austin Watkins added three catches for 30 yards.
