Box Score DODGE CITY, Kan. - After a strong first 30 minutes, the Conquistador women's soccer team gave up eight unanswered goals to fall to the Hutchinson Blue Dragons on Wednesday night for the team's sophomore night.

Dodge City defense held up strong for the first 30 minutes of the game, not allowing a goal in that span. In the 31st minute, Hutchinson was able to scratch across their first goal of the game, and stayed hot from there. Just before half, in the 42nd minute, the Blue Dragons added one more goal, to take a 2-0 lead into the locker room.

The halftime break did not slow down Hutchinson, as they came out and scored three goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half, to quickly extend their lead to 5-0. In the 62nd minute, the Blue Dragons were able to add another goal on a penalty kick to push their lead to six, 6-0.

After things slowed down, Hutchinson added two more goals in the 83rd and 87th minute to push the lead to eight and give the Blue Dragons an 8-0 win.

The women's soccer team is now 9-8-1 on the year and looks to bounce back on Friday as they take on Garden City Community College at 5 p.m., in Garden City, Kan.
