Box Score DODGE CITY, Kan. - Playing in front of their home crowd for the first time all season, the Dodge City Community College women's soccer team lost their Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference opener 10-1 to KJCCC West Preseason favorite Hutchinson at Memorial Stadium on Wednesday, September 7th.
DC3 is now 1-2-0 overall and 0-1-0 in the KJCCC.
The Blue Dragons opened up the scoring at the 9:21 mark with a penalty kick sent into the back of the net and scored twice more in the first half to take a 3-0 halftime lead. Dodge City's only goal come at the 47:17 mark when
Cynthia Rodela would score after
Begona Rodriguez-Bravo would have her initial shot saved. Hutchinson would leave no chance of a comeback by scoring seven second half goals.
The Conquistadors will have a chance to rebound on Saturday, September 10th when they host Northeast Community College at 12 p.m. at Memorial Stadium. DC3 will return to KJCCC action next week at Barton Community College.
