Box Score HUTCHINSON, Kan. - Up until 10 minutes to play, the Dodge City Community College women's soccer team would trail Number 13 nationally-ranked Hutchinson Community College before a flurry of goals in the final minutes dealt the Conquistadors a 4-1 loss on Wednesday, September 21st.
DC3 is now 3-4 overall and 1-3 in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference having played half of their KJCCC schedule.
The first half saw Dodge City goalie make some magnificent saves to keep the Blue Dragon offense in check before Hutchinson would finally break through with a goal with three minutes before halftime. Escaping further damage in the half, DC3 would make some halftime adjustments and come out and play a much more aggressive second half.
With 32 minutes left to play, Hutchinson would double their lead to 2-0 on a goal by Jazmin Hartshorn before
Siobhan Longmore would send in a deep pass to a streaking
Rawaa Ismail who would get just enough touch on a shot to send it past the Blue Dragon goalie to make the score 2-1. In the final seven minutes, Hutchinson would score goals by Sheena Nicol and add a fourth with three minutes left to play to make the game a final of 4-1.
DC3 will look to rebound on Saturday with a 5 p.m. game at Garden City to close out a four-game road trip.
