Box Score DODGE CITY, Kan. -- Though the Dodge City Community College never led, the Conquistadors were still hanging around when Fantasia Johnson scored with 4:05 left in the third to cut the seventh-ranked Hutchinson lead to single digits at 43-35.

However, the Blue Dragons went on a 10-0 run that went into the early fourth quarter to push the lead to 18 and DC3 never got within 11 points the rest of the contest during a 69-53 loss Wednesday at the Dodge City Civic Center.

DC3 (16-8 overall, 6-7 KJCCC) struggled from the field (19-for-52 - 36.5 percent) and with turnovers (17 - which Hutchinson turned into 21 points) as the Conqs dropped their third game in a row.

As for the Blue Dragons (23-1, 13-1), they shot 49 percent from the field and turned it over eight times as they won their 13th straight.

Antania Newton paced DC3 with 14 points to go along with three assists and two steals, Talisha Presley had 12 points while Rachel Slattery had 10 points, nine rebounds and two blocks.

Kyla Williams came off the bench to lead four Hutchinson players in double figures with 18 points, Kirea Rogers had 13 points while Inja Butina and Mandy Madden each had 10.

DC3 travels to take on Barton 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
