DODGE CITY, Kansas: Former Conqs' standout Marcus Hardison was drafted to the Cincinnati Bengals this week, going as the 36
th pick in the 4
th round. He was the 135
th player to be drafted this year.
After DC3, Hardison signed with Arizona State, turning down schools including Florida State, Miami, Oklahoma and Auburn to name a few.
While at Arizona State, the defensive lineman tabbed 53 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, six turnovers including three forced fumbles, two interceptions and a fumble recovery. His most notable moment with the Sun Devils came after a career-high 13 tackle outing against Duke in the Sun Bowl.
After the 2014 season, Hardison was named to Phil Steele's All-Pac-12 Second Team and was All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention.
The 6-3, 307-pound defensive lineman clocked from 4.8-9 at the 40-yard dash and clocked a 4.65 seconds in the short shuttle and 7.29 in the three-cone drill. His vertical jump is 25 ½ inches and his broad jump is 8-feet-11-inches.
During his time at Dodge City throughout the 2011-12 seasons, the Punta Gorda, Florida native tabbed 96 tackles and seven sacks. He also played some quarterback earlier in his high school days.
