Box Score COFFEYVILLE, Kansas: Dodge City women's basketball ended their 2015 season on Saturday with a 91-72 loss to the #2 seed Coffeyville Community College.
Dodge headed into the second half with the score 49-32. They worked back in the second with 40 points in the half, but the effort was not enough to close the gap, letting Coffeyville escape with the win and advance to the second round of the NJCAA Region VI Tournament.
Azaria Nave and
Talisha Presley found themselves in double figures on the day with Nave leading the team with 23 points on an 8-23 performance from the field including four from long range and 3-4 from the charity stripe. The guard also posted three assists, two rebounds and one steal in the game.
Presley hit five from the field, including two from the arc and went 7-9 from the free throw line for her 19 points. She also collected one assist, one steal and two boards.
Hannah Whitaker led the team with nine rebounds, while adding eight points, three blocks, a steal and an assist for the Conqs.
Alejandra Esparza led the team with five blocks and owned eight rebounds and nine points on the day.
DC3 finishes the season10-21 overall and 1-15 in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference.
