Box Score LIBERAL, Kansas:  DC3 women's basketball fell 71-48 to nationally ranked #7 Seward County on the road last Saturday.

Seward had Dodge City's number from the start of the game.  Although DC3 put up quite the fight garnered some buckets, Seward owned the first half 36-17.  DC3 attempted to make a big comeback in the second half, but Seward kept them down just long enough for the win. 

DC3 was kept to a 26.9 field goal percentage, but outshot the Saints with a 37.5 three-point field goal percentage.  The Saints also kept the Conqs away from the free throw line, affording them only nine attempts at the charity stripe.

Talisha Presley and Antania Newton led the Conqs with 14 and 10 points respectively.  Presley owned six from the field, including two three-pointers and posted two seals and one block while Newton hit two from long range and went 4-4 from the free throw line, while leading the team with four assists and owning two steals.

Alejandra Esparza pulled down six boars on the night with eight points and three blocks against the Saints.  Hannah Whitaker also pulled down six rebounds while posting two blocks and three steals on the night.

DC3 will return to the Civic Center hardwood on Saturday, February 21 at 3 p.m.  Sophomore night will take place directly after the women's game and homecoming will take place at halftime of the men's game.
