Box Score DODGE CITY, Kansas: It was another close matchup in Dodge City tonight as Cloud County bested DC3 women's basketball 87-79.
The Conquistadors won the first half with a 45-39 outing, before falling behind in the second after Cloud put up a 48-34 performance to earn the eight-point victory.
On the night, the Conqs posted a 34.2 field goal percentage after owning 25 from the field and went 23-31 from the charity stripe for a 74.2 free throw percentage.
Talisha Presley led the Conqs with 16 points, three steals and one block and assist. She was 9-11 from the free throw line for DC3.
Azaria Nave and
Johlicia Williams came hard off the bench with Nave owning 13 points, three assists, three boards and three from long range. Williams added 10 points and seven boards with a 6-6 outing at the free throw line and two blocks.
Alejandra Esparza collected another double-double with 10 points and 11 boards. She also snagged two steals and two blocks while sinking five from the field.
Antania Newton put in 12 points while leading the team with five assists and owning three steals.
Tara Whipple was good for four assists, four steals, four points and six rebounds.
Hannah Whitaker helped the team with four blocks as well.
