DODGE CITY, Kan. — The Dodge City Community College women's basketball team will take a strong 9-1 mark into Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference play when the Conquistadors hit the road Wednesday to face Neosho County in Chanute.

The Conqs have four players averaging double figures with freshman post Rachel Slattery leading the way at 17.7 points, 13.1 rebounds and 3.2 blocks per game. DC3's lone loss came last week to Glendale 78-72 at the Arizona Classic, where the Conqs went 2-1 with double-digit victories over Chandler-Gilbert (88-75) and Tohono O'odham (91-77).

DC3 faces a Neosho team that is 6-2 on the season heading into the Panthers' KJCCC opener Monday night at Hutchinson, though it hasn't played a common opponent with the Conqs. The Panthers' two losses have come to Rhema Bible College (70-66 on Nov. 6) and to MCC-Penn Valley (59-49 on Nov. 21).
