Conqs’ Women’s Basketball Comes up Short Against #8 Seward County 76-59

DODGE CITY, Kansas: It was a tough loss at the Civic Center for the DC3 women’s basketball team as #8 Seward County garners the 76-59 win.

The Conqs posted a 31.4 field goal percentage, 28.6 three-point percentage and a 75 free throw percentage for the game.
 
Azaria Nave led the team with 16 points while hitting 6-15 from the field, 2-7 from the field goal line and 2-2 from the free throw line. Antania Newton was good for 10 points and had six assists with one steal on the hardware.
 
Jolichia Williams led the Conqs with a total of seven rebounds for the night. Alejandra Esparza also had six rebounds and had the only two blocks.
 
Seward County attacked off the turnovers with 17 points compared to Dodge City with only 6 points.
 
It was a somewhat close match-up in the paint with DCCC having 24 points and SCCC having 34 points.
 
The Lady Conqs will be on the road next week January 25, 2015 at 2 P.M. against the Lady Broncbusters of Garden City.
