Box Score DODGE CITY, Kansas: It was a hard night on the hardwood for the Conqs last night, as both men's and women's basketball teams had a tough time with Cloud County on the road.
DC3 women's basketball fell 75-58 after posting a 25.6 field goal percentage, 21.4 three-point field goal percentage and 35.7 free throw percentage on the night.
The opposition had a stark 11-point lead after the first half after putting down the Conqs 39-28 heading into the second. The home team's offense kept plugging in the second half after outscoring the Conqs 36-30.
Antania Newton led the team with 19 points while hitting 7-10 from the field, 3-5 from long and 2-3 from the charity stripe on the night.
Azaria Nave was good for 11 points and six rebounds while tying for the team-high with four assists and leading the team with three steals.
Hannah Whitaker led DC3 with 10 rebounds on the night, while boasting four blocks, one steal and five points.
Alejandra Esparza led the team with seven blocks while owning six points and six rebounds as well.
Tara Whipple also had four assists for the Conqs with nine boards and four points.
Dodge women's basketball returns home this Saturday, January 17 to take on Seward County in the Civic Center at 5:30 p.m.
