Box Score DODGE CITY, Kansas:  DC3 women's basketball came back from a four-point deficit in the first half to overcome the Mavericks of Northwest Kansas Tech 41-23 in the second for a big 72-58 victory.  The win put the Conqs at 9-5 in the 2014-15 campaign thus far.

Azaria Nave led the team with 17 points on the day after shooting 7-11 from the field, 2-3 from the arc and 1-2 from the stripe.   She also tied for the Conq top-spot with four assists while posting two boards and one steal.
 
Talisha Presley and Kandra Gasaway put up 13 and 12 points apiece for DC3 with Presley leading the team with five steals while adding three assists and four boards.  Gasaway was good for six rebounds and one block on the night.
 
Hannah Whitaker tallied eight points, six assists, three steals and one block in her 13 minutes of work while Antania Newton amassed eight points, four assists, three steals and one block throughout 26 minutes.
 
In the first half, DC3 hit 34.2 percent form the field and a low 11.1 percent from the arc while remaining perfect from the charity stripe with a 4-4 outing.  The Conqs made up for things in the second half with a 41.9 percent output from the field after hitting 13-21 and 50 percent from long range after a 5-10 performance. 
 
On the night, DC3 put down 26-69 from the field, 6-19 from long range and 14-18 from the stripe to go up on the opposition.
 
Against the Mavs, the Conqs tallied a 28-8 ratio with points off turnovers and posted 31 points in the paint compared to the oppositions 18.  The team also added nine points on fast break opportunities while only offering two to NWKTC.
