DC3 shot 32.4 percent from the field after owning 22 of 68 attempts while posting a 21.4 three-point field goal percentage and 87.5 percent from the charity stripe.
The opposition owned the first half after posting a 51-34 advantage heading into the second. Despite the Conqs winning the second 30-27, it was not enough to close the gap for the win.
Azaria Nave led the Conqs with 26 points after putting downs seven from the field, two from long range and owning a 10-10 free throw performance on the day. She also posted two steals and assists, four rebounds and one block after 33 minutes of work.
Antania Newton and
Talisha Presley were next on the offensive after posting 16 and 10 points respectively. Newton posted 6-10 field goals, 3-7 three's and 1-1 from the charity stipe while adding three assists, four rebounds and one block.
Presley posted four from the field and went 2-2 from the free throw line along with adding three assists and two rebounds.
Alejandra Esparza led the team with seven boards and five big blocks on the night after 20 minutes of work for DC3.
Dodge will continue tournament play tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. when they take on Kansas City Kansas.
