EJ Eaves and
Payton Pervier propelled DC3 men's basketball to an 89-83 victory over Lamar at home tonight as Eaves posted 30 points and Pervier owned 18 points and 16 rebounds for the victory.
Eaves hit 9-12 from the field, one from long range and went 11-13 from the charity stripe for his 30. He also added two steals, one block and one assist for the Conqs victory.
Pervier posted his fourth consecutive double-double of the night after putting up 18
points and 16 rebounds for DC3. He shot 8-12 from the field and 2-2 from the free throw line while leading the team with three blocks.
Ameer Jackson also saw double-figure points after hitting 4-9 from the field and 6-7 from the stripe while adding four rebounds and two assists.
DC3 outshot the opposition 49-40 in the first half, and undershot Lamar by three points (43-40) in the second for the narrow 89-83 victory. On the night, they hit 46.9 from the field and hit 27-35 from the stripe.
George Brock was good for nine points, two steals and three assists for DC3 while
Dalton Haist pulled down nine off the boards and added seven points to help the Conq effort.
DC3 will continue non-conference play next Friday and Saturday, November 21-22 at 7 p.m. on both days in the Pizza Hut Classic hosted by Dodge City Athletics in the Civic Center.
