Dodge City softball opened the season going 3-1 at home with a split against #13 McCook and a sweep of Frank Phillips. Karli George had a strong impact for the Conquistadors including earning the win in the circle against #13 McCook as she tossed all seven innings giving up just one run on five hits and two walks, while striking out seven. Offensively in three games George hit .364 with four hits, five RBI, a walk, a home run, and a run scored.
