Michael Brewster spent five seasons as the leader of the Dodge City Spirit Squad. He came to Dodge City after being involved in cheerleading for more than 15 years as a participant, coach, and choreographer. 

During his four years at Dodge City he has won four-straight Region VI Grand Champions titles with his teams winning each competition they competed in the first two years at the Region championships. He led the Conquistadors to a NCA National Championship in his first year at Dodge City (2021) as they won the NCA Cheer National Championship Advanced Small Coed Junior College competition and then followed it up with a runner-up finish in the same division in 2022. In 2023 he guided the Conqs to an Intermediate Small Coed Junior College National Championship at the NCA Nationals in Daytona, while the the Advanced Small Coed Junior College team place third at NCA's. The 2024 year of competition saw the Conqs claim a pair of National Championships as they repeated as the Intermediate Small Coed Junior College champions at the NCA Nationals and won the Advanced Small Coed Junior College title for second time in program history. The Advanced team also would finish second in the Grand Champion competition in 2024. 

Michael came to Dodge City after eight-plus seasons at fellow NJCAA institution Blinn College in Brenham, Texas.  While at Blinn, Michael helped led the Bucs to 6-consecutive National Cheerleading Association (NCA) Collegiate National Championships in the Small Coed II Division. In 2019, Blinn cheer made history as the first team to win six national championships in Small Coed Division II after placing first at the NCA Championships in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. The cheerleaders finished fourth at the NCA Championships in 2012 and second in 2013. In 2019, Blinn's dance team made history by claiming two national titles in Dance Team Performance Open and Pom Division II for its seventh straight championship. In addition to coaching at Blinn, Michael has also coached at the all star level in multiple states. Since 2008, Michael has owned a cheer services company that has given him the opportunity to travel the world and work with teams of all ages and levels. 
 

Out of high school, Michael received a football scholarship to play at Charleston Southern University in Charleston, SC. After injuring his knee during his freshman season, Michael transferred out and attended Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu, HI on a cheer scholarship. As a member of the Large Coed team of HPU, Michael won three-consecutive NCA National Championships.  Michael was the captain of the 2005-2006 team.
 
Michael lives in Dodge City with his wife, Nun and son, Finn.
