After earning KJCCC Division I Goalkeeper of the Week, Dodge City men's soccer goalkeeper Leonardo Acquarone has now earned NJCAA DI Goalkeeper of the Week.

Leonardo Acquarone becomes the third Conquistador athlete to earn a national athlete of the week honor for the NJCAA this season. Josue Vega was selected as NJCAA DI Runner of the Week for men's cross country and Jahtavious Gaines was selected as NJCAA DI Defensive Player of the Week for football.

The Conquistadors were only on the pitch for one game last week, taking on Seward County on the road, and settled for a tough scoreless tie against the Saints. Defensively, the Conqs were stout, limiting Seward County to just nine shots, and Acquarone made five saves to preserve the shutout.

Acquarone has started five matches this season, recording 29 saves with a 74.4% save percentage.

Conqs take on rival Garden City to continue the season on Wednesday, September 30^th at 4:00 pm; as they look to challenge the #5 Broncbusters.
