For the second time this season, the Dodge City men's soccer team saw a player earn KJCCC recognition for their performance.
Leonardo Acquarone earned KJCCC Division I Goalkeeper of the Week, joining his teammate
Rensho Ishikawa among this season's honorees.
The Conquistadors were only on the pitch for one game last week, taking on Seward County on the road, and settled for a tough scoreless tie against the Saints. Defensively, the Conqs were stout, limiting Seward County to just nine shots, and Acquarone made five saves to preserve the shutout.
Acquarone has started five matches this season, recording 29 saves with a 74.4% save percentage.
Conqs take on rival Garden City to continue the season on Wednesday, September 30
th at 4:00 pm; as they look to challenge the #5 Broncbusters.
