Dodge City extended its win streak to seven games with a road sweep of Fort Hays Tech Northwest in Goodland, earning 10-0 and 12-1 victories, both in five innings.
The Conquistadors improved to 32-12 on the season with the wins, while also advancing to 14-4 in KJCCC action. Conqs have won 22-straight over Fort Hays Tech Northwest, with 18 of the 22 being by run-rule.
The stretch of road games continues for the Conqs on Wednesday, April 15th as they will take on Pratt in a KJCCC doubleheader.
Game 1 – Won 10-0 at Fort Hays Tech Northwest (5 innings)
After a scoreless first two innings, the Conqs grabbed the lead with a run in the third as
Harley Shoaf led the inning off with a double and came around to score. The Conqs exploded in the fifth for nine runs, starting with a two RBI double by
Cadie McCracken and then
Riley Moore followed with an RBI single, and
Loren Sweat an RBI double.
Karli George belted a two-run homer in the fifth, and Shoaf and
Karen Galaviz had back-to-back RBI triples in the inning. Conqs picked up the first two outs of the bottom of the fifth quickly before Tech got a runner on via a walk, but was then thrown out trying to steal second, ending the game for the Conqs tenth shutout of the season as they won 10-0.
Shoaf paced the Conqs offense as she was 3-3 with three runs scored, a double, a triple, and an RBI. McCracken added a 1-2 game with two walks, two RBI, a double, and a run scored, while George was 1-3 with a home run, two RBI, and a run scored.

Jordyn Boxberger picked up the win, throwing five scoreless innings, giving up just three hits and two walks, while striking out four.
Game 2 – Won 12-1 at Fort Hays Tech Northwest (5 innings)
Conqs grabbed the lead early, scoring in the first inning after Moore led off the game with a triple she came into score by stealing home. In the third, the Conqs tagged Tech for three more runs with an RBI triple from McCracken, along with RBI singles by Boxberger and Shoaf each. In the bottom of the third, Tech worked a pair of base runners on via a walk and a Conq error, which helped Tech score a run, making it 4-1. Just like game one, the Conqs' offense exploded again in the fifth with eight runs as an RBI double by Shoaf started the scoring, while
Kaylee Kinsinger had a two RBI double, which was followed by an RBI double by Moore and McCracken each. Conqs worked around a hit batter in the bottom of the fifth to secure the 12-1 victory.
Shyann Clark threw a five-inning no-hitter, giving up one run on two walks and two hit batters, while striking out three.
Conqs pounded out 16 hits in the win with four players recording a multi-hit game. Moore was 4-4 with three runs scored, an RBI, a double, and two triples. Shoaf was 3-4 with a run scored, two RBI, and a double. McCracken added a 2-3 game with two runs scored, two RBI, a walk, a double, and a triple. Boxberger finished 2-4 with two runs scored, a double, and an RBI.
