Dodge City men's basketball continues to remain towards the top of the KJCCC standings and posted a 1-1 last week as strong individual performances continue for the Conquistadors.
Rickey Loftin II had a pair of strong performances for the Conqs last week against Cowley and Cloud County and earned the nod for KJCCC Division I Player of the Week honors for the second time this season, both coming in the last three weeks.
Against Cowley, Loftin II tallied a double-double with 20 points on 9-19 shooting and grabbed 10 rebounds. He followed that up by matching his best scoring performance as a Conq, posting 28 points on 9-16 shooting and 8-9 from the free throw line while adding nine rebounds, two assists, and one steal.
On the season, Loftin II is averaging 16.5 points per game on 52.7% shooting, while shooting 38.2% from three-point range, and 85.3% from the charity stripe. He's filling out his stat line with 5.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.
The Conqs are back in action again on Wednesday, February 4th, against Colby on the road at 7:30 pm.
