Dodge City women's soccer was back home to continue Jayhawk conference play and hosted Barton for a KJCCC clash. The Conquistadors were unable to get on the board, falling 3-0 to the Cougars. 
 
The loss drops the Conqs to 3-2 on the season and 1-2 in conference play. 
 
The Conqs would see Barton control possession early and make a few early advances towards goal, ultimately finding the back of the net in the eighth minute on a free kick from nearly 30 yards out. The Cougars extend their lead in the 27th minute on a rebound shot, making it 2-0. As the first half progressed towards intermission, the Conqs had a few offensive opportunities but were unable to score, trailing 2-0 at halftime. In the second half, the Conqs made a quick run towards the goal in the first few minutes, but the Barton goalkeeper made a save, and the Conqs' other opportunities would fall short in the half. Barton tacked on another goal in the 68th minute, leading to the Cougars getting the 3-0 victory over the Conqs. 
 
While both teams had just 10 shots in the contest, it was the shots on goal that were the biggest difference, as Barton had eight and the Conqs just three. 
 
The Conqs are back on the road for the upcoming week as they have a pair of road trips ahead of them, set to take on Seward County on Wednesday, September 24th at 6:00 pm, and then Cowley on Saturday, September 27th at 2:00 pm.
